The Gulf of Finland is to the north of the park and the Tallinn-Narva highway is to the south. Its area covers 725 km². Pärnu is a resort city in southwestern Estonia, overlooking Pärnu Bay. The city is bisected by the Pärnu River, which has paths on both banks, both of which end in stone jetties in the bay. The city is known for its 19th-century timber villas and for sandy Pärnu Beach, with its shallow waters and promenade. Paldiski is a town and Baltic Sea port situated on the Pakri peninsula of north-western Estonia. Since 2017, it's the administrative centre of Lääne-Harju Parish of Harju County.
